Join Irene Wei at Maker Works to talk about various Western and Eastern methods of hand papermaking and paper crafts. Irene will talk about the history of paper production as well as demonstrate how to make sheets of handmade paper and paper thread.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make realistic, colorful Cosmos. You’ll start by studying the anatomy of the flower, and then go through the process of cutting and manipulating pith "paper" into beautiful Cosmos. Once the flower’s construction is mastered, the focus will shift to study the composition, hierarchy and color balance in individual arrangements.
